Javier's cigar journey began back in 2000, long before Cigar Zone existed on paper. Two decades of lounges, travel, and trial and error taught him the difference between a cigar that's fine and one that's worth remembering. Somewhere along the way his wife Erika became his most trusted second opinion, and the two of them spent years chasing down new blends, comparing notes, and building a shared eye for what actually holds up once you're smoking it.
In 2023 that private habit turned into something bigger: a Spanish-speaking cigar community built around honest recommendations instead of hype. No sponsored posts, no manufactured scarcity, just people who smoke cigars talking to other people who smoke cigars.
Cigar Zone The Shop is the next chapter of that same community, based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Javier still handles what he's always handled: buying, pricing, and standing behind every product on the shelf. Erika runs the side most customers never see, keeping inventory and fulfillment moving so an order shows up the way it was promised.
We pick what we sell because we'd smoke it ourselves.
